Refund and Cancellation Policies
In general, you can request a full refund for services prior to work commencing up to 12 months after payment. If a refund is requested past 30 days, it will require a manual refund as we cannot put it back on the purchasing credit card and a check will be mailed to you.
Once work has started on your project, a partial refund may or may not be available, so please check out the product-specific refund policies below:
We issue refunds if the following criteria apply:
The request for the refund is within 7 days of project initiation at which time a calculation will be made for the hours we have already worked on your project at the rate of $155.00 per hour. We will provide written details of this work. Also, you may request if there is an issue with installing, configuring, functioning, or initiating your project or content or if our support team is unable to fix your problem during the first 7-days after receiving payment or deposit. During the first 7-days of project initiation, we will communicate together and you’ll interact with our products/services on your project. If during these first 7-days, you are unhappy and would like to ask for a refund, depending on our hard costs already into your project we will negotiate with you to find an effective compromise at which time a partial refund will be duly processed back for you. If we have no hard costs, your full investment will be returned to you. There are no refunds after 7-days due to the nature of the work.
We do not issue refunds if the request is:
After 7 days of receiving our initial deposit or total project payment because in most cases we have already begun the bulk of the work. Since most of our work is done at different phases and often times front-loaded, where the bulk of the work is needed up-front prior to even starting design or development, after 7 days of your initial purchase we are unable to provide a return or refund. Please note that there are times when there will be more activity on your account or project and times when there is less action. Although you may not see the content changing on your site, we are oftentimes working behind the scenes on search optimization or web content definition for your site or your competitor’s site to better help you rank in web search.

Website Maintenance Plans

Website Maintenance Plans Monthly Subscription Plan Only: Due to the significant discount that is given for the yearly subscription plan in order to cancel the plan, you will need to pay 35% of the balance of the yearly plan.
Fees for your website refresh project are divided into two portions, 50% for design and 50% for development. Design fees are only refundable prior to your consultation with a designer.
Cancellation of your website refresh project after the consultation but before the development of the live site will result in a maximum refund of 50% of the fees paid for the project. There will be no refunds after the site has gone into development.

Each project has a detailed service agreement that must be signed by the client before work starts. Please refer to your contract for specific details.
Payments for custom design projects are made to us in increments as a courtesy to the client. Once a payment or deposit is made, it is non-refundable. If a project is canceled or postponed, all monies paid are retained by JHAI Designs and if applicable, a fee for all work completed beyond what was already paid for shall be paid by the client.

Fees regarding your logo design are only refundable prior to your consultation with a designer. Since the logo fee is entirely based on the designer’s knowledge, expertise and time, once you have had your design consultation the amount that can be refunded will be based entirely on the amount of time spent and work completed. This will be determined by your designer and account manager based on our hourly rate.
Search Engine Optimization, Internet Marketing, and Social Media Optimization
Payments for Search Engine Optimization, Internet Marketing, and Social Media Optimization services are nonrefundable, and JHAI Designs do not issue pro-rata refunds for fees paid in advance. Once a payment or deposit is made, it is non-refundable. All Setup fees are nonrefundable as it is applied to costs immediately incurred by JHAI Designs in initiating services. If a project is canceled or postponed, all monies paid are retained by JHAI Designs and if applicable, a fee for all work completed beyond what was already paid for shall be paid by the client.
If we receive a chargeback or payment dispute (i.e., PayPal Dispute) from a credit card company or bank, your service and/or project will be suspended without notice. A $50 chargeback fee (issued to recover fees passed on to us by the credit company), plus any outstanding balances accrued because of the chargeback(s) must be paid in full before service is restored, files delivered, or any further work is done. Instead of issuing a chargeback, please contact us to address any billing issues. Requesting a chargeback or opening a PayPal dispute for a valid charge from us is fraud and is never an appropriate or legal means of obtaining a refund. Please read and make sure you fully understand our refund policy prior to making a payment.
Payments for past months of web hosting are non-refundable. Hosting accounts are set up at the time of order and are allotted a specific amount of server resources, according to the plan purchased. If the client did not make use of the account, payment for services is still due. Hosting accounts are not canceled until notice is received from the client in writing, or until 15 days after the due date of payment is not received. If the client paid for the hosting account 6 or 12 months ahead and cancels service before the plan expiration date, a refund may be given for the months not yet elapsed. If clients received free products and/or services with their hosting plan purchase, the value of the free services will be deducted from the refund amount. JHAI Designs reserves the right to disable and/or terminate a user’s account if a user is found in violation of the terms.
Design fees for print projects are only refundable prior to the consultation, or the scheduled start date in cases that do not require a consultation. Projects with hourly design rates may be refunded post-consultation less any hours consumed prior to the cancellation request.
Production costs paid to JHAI Designs are only refundable prior to Approval. If it is determined that a production error* has occurred, claims made within 30 days of your “In Production” notification will be replaced at no cost. This determination will be made at the discretion of JHAI Designs and the associated vendor upon receiving evidence of the damages/error. Rush shipping fees are non-refundable.
*Production errors do not include graphical elements on approved artwork (i.e. typos, incorrect information, color choice, fonts, or imagery).
Clients Missing in Action
If you do not communicate with JHAI Designs for a period of 90 consecutive days during any part of the design or development process, JHAI Designs will honor its commitment to finish the project, but there will be no refund of any fees.
There are no refunds on any completed work.
Accounts in Violation of Jhai Digital Designs Policies
Accounts terminated due to policy violations will not be refunded.
Due to the nature of the work and variability of our project schedules, from time to time we will make price concessions or increase pricing based on our availability to work on your project. This is called peak pricing. What this means is that you may find us charging more or less for your same project depending on how busy we are in any given month. Clients are not entitled to matched pricing for any other project other than your own. This means that even if are able to reduce the cost of your project, no other client may come to us and request a reduction in pricing nor can you. It also means that we will not come back to you and charge you more just because another client is charged peak pricing.
Updates to the refund policy
This refund policy can be updated at any time, without prior notice, and is applicable immediately for all clients, subscriptions, and subscribers. It is considered an integral part of our Terms of Service and its acceptance is mandatory for all users.
